Trail & Weather Advisory

As of 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 29, 2009 all trails leading to LeConte Lodge are open. The fires in the Great Smoky Mountains are not affecting the Lodge.   Please call 865-429-5704 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, EDT, the LeConte Reservation line to check on conditions at the Lodge and if you have any questions regarding your reservation.  To check on the possible closure/opening of HWY 441, Newfound Gap Road; Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail or Cherokee Orchard Road,  please call 865-436-1200. When you hear someone speak dial 631 or go to the following link:  http://nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/temproadclose.htm  . The Park has posted the areas that are affected by the fires on their website.
