LeConte Lodge^® books many months in advance. LeConte Lodge will begin booking 2009 reservations on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.  Reservation requests for the 2009 season (March 23 through November 24) may be made by telephone beginning at 8:30 am EDT or submitted in writing (fax, e-mail, US mail or 2009 lottery form).  Written requests will be held and processed by lottery on October 1, 2008, simutaneously with phone calls.  Most weekends will book the first day of reservations, with primetime weekdays booked by November. 

Since LeConte Lodge^® fills up rapidly with reservations, please consider Charit Creek Lodge  located in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation (about 3 hours northeast of the Smokies) as an alternate wilderness getaway if we cannot reserve you a place at LeConte Lodge^®.

Since careful advance planning is necessary to properly run a wilderness lodge (we have to resupply the lodge by helicopter and llama pack trains), 30 days notice is required to cancel a reservation and receive a full refund. If you need to cancel with less than 30 days notice, still notify us as soon as possible. While we cannot guarantee a refund, if we can rent your reserved space, we'll gladly return your payment.

Payment Policy
The payment required to hold reservations shall be the full amount of the occupancy and meal charges, including sales tax. If the reservation is made between the first and the fifteenth of the month, payment is due by the first of the following month. If the reservation is made between the sixteenth and the end of the month, payment is due by the fifteenth of the following month. Payment on reservations made less than thirty days before arrival date are due when reservation is made. Credit cards are not accepted. Checks, cash or money order accepted.

Late Cancellation Policy
Hosting guests on a remote mountaintop creates some unique problems of food supply and filling up unexpected vacancies. The trip to LeConte Lodge^® is one that takes much advanced preparation, both for the host and for the guest. Most of your food is sent to the lodge in the spring of the year. Requests for guest reservations are made far in advance of arrival date. It is very difficult to fill vacancies created by cancellations of less than thirty days notice. Consequently, we cannot guarantee a refund of your payment unless you give us thirty days notice. If a cancellation is necessary with less than thirty days notice, please notify us of the cancellation before the reservation date. If we rebook your space(s) for that night, we will gladly return your payment. If we do not rebook your space(s), refunds on cancellations without thirty days notice cannot be made, regardless of the circumstances.

LeConte Lodge LTD. is an authorized National Park Service Concession. It is not permissible by any individual, company, church or organization to increase for profit the approved and published rates under any circumstances. Failure to comply with this notice will result in forfeiture of current reservation and future booking privileges.
